YUP fun times

Working at the Yale University Press is fun!!! Today we had a "BBQ" and it was fun. There was this really cool old truck that had a brick oven on the side and a fridge in the back... I wish I brought my camera so I could have taken a picture... It was really cool. And the pizza was really good. They pulled a different kind of pizza out of the oven almost every time. There was a bake-off and the interns were the judges for the contest. The categories were Best chocoalte dessert, best non-chocolate dessert, most unusual dessert, best dessert from the title of a book, and best show or something. They were all pretty good... it took a lot of deliberation to decide the winners. But, there was this one dessert called "Bourbon balls" and I swear that they were rum filled munchkins. Tasty. That was most unusual. ANd there was this other dessert that was New England states. It was the "dish" that each state was famous for in the shape of the state. That won the category for the yale title.

After the BBQ, we hung out with the other interns for a little while. I had my first margarita (sp.) and it was good... minus the salt. Underage drinking is fun. All of the other interns are really cool. They were watching Napoleon Dynamite and going to see the fireworks later tonight, but I had to go home because my mother made plans and didnt know i wanted to go out, so i'm stuck baby-sitting. She said that I could go tomorrow or sunday or monday, but they're goin tonight, so it doesn't matter.
