Bored
I'm supposed to be writing a paper right now, but I can't concentrate and I'm bored as hell. My weekend was crap. My sickness seemed to progress with each day of the weekend. I felt like I was going to blow my guts out of my nose on Saturday. I was exhausted this weekend.
Today I had a scholarship interview for the Harry S. Huggins Scholarship. He was a Hillhouse and Yale graduate who did a lot in the peace corps involving education and stuff. Two of the interviewers were his nieces and the other was a friend and classmate. They were all nice ladies. They are from New York, so we talked about New York and Columbia. And we talked a lot about my tutoring program and how/why I started it and who'll take the throne next year as president, etc. Mostly we discussed my interests in education, writing, and making a difference. They said that they'd leacve their contact information for me since I'll be in New York next year. That'll be cool.
Amity Scholarship dinner is tomorrow night at Anthony's. I've been there so much this year that is has become my favorite expensive Italian spot. (probably because I haven't had to pay for a single meal I've had there) But, nonetheless, the food is great.
Other than that, I missed my match today because I'm still sick and my face(sinuses) was hurting today.
Update: Prom tickets are $85 now, down from $95 and because I passed 2+ portions of the CAPT, I get an additional $30 off of one ticket. That means that if I go alone, I will pay $55, and if I decide to bring a date, it will cost $140 for both of the tickets. That's not as bad as $190. If I get some money, then I want Jenn to come with me, but if I don't get the money, then I guess I will be alone at a prom for the first time.
