Welcome to Earth - Primeval Drabble
Becker had returned the peculiar creature through the anomaly. Following procedure, he'd collected a rock for the ARC geologist to study. The results, normally boring, were surprising.
Connor was not happy.
"So you're saying that it wasn't one of Matt's desolate future Earths?"
"Apparently not," Becker told him. He looked quite smug.
"And that thing was an alien? A real alien?"
Becker nodded.
"And I was stuck here at the ARC," Connor wailed.
"I'm the first human to walk on an alien world," Becker boasted. "Lucky it had oxygen!"
Connor sulked. Lucky wasn't the word that came to mind.
