Why I’m Reccing This: It's a fandom classic, beautifully written and plotted, and if the fic wasn't enough there's also some gorgeous artwork by AlbyMangroves woven into the tale. So good.

Why I'm Reccing This: It's a beautiful piece and a favourite of mine. It's six stories, linked together by some letters written in the time of the TV series, taking the reader through an alternative history and a hopeful ending. The women are great in this, particularly brave, tragic Elena and the woman she loves.

And to make everything even more complicated there's his brother's boyfriend, Merlin, who might just be his salvation if their guilt and sadness doesn't drown them before they even get started.
Why I'm Reccing This:It's about grief and dealing with it, and how different people have different ways of doing so. Merlin and Arthur both have guilt over their behaviour prior to the death, and Uther has guilt over Yvgraine. It's about love and moving on with your life. An excellent study in bereavement. Surprisingly, in the comments, the author reveals that they have no first hand knowledge of this. It doesn't show.

It's a study of the seven 'children' of Merlin, each of them very different. An absolutely fascinating read.

Why I'm Reccing This: OMG why would anyone NOT rec it? Prince Arthur (Leia) on first seeing Merlin (Luke): "Aren't you a bit skinny for a storm trooper?". And then in the scene where Obi Wan faces Vader: "Uther," said Gaius, wheezing from the effort it must have taken him to run over. "If you strike this boy down, I will become more cross than you could possibly imagine." And on first meeting Leon (Chewbacca): Merlin had never seen any creature so tall or hairy, but he tried not to stare. I could go on. Easily. It made me cry laughing. It covers Parts 4-6 of the Star Wars Series.

Why I'm Reccing This: This is a Merlin/Arthur AU, set in the Hunger Games universe and works very well. It's a very creative, well-written story that works for both fandoms.
