Poster Boy

Stephen had always owned the prettiest body on the ARC team.

His eyelashes were longer than Jenny's.

He smelled better than Connor.

His hair was spikier than Cutter's.

His clothes were cooler than Abby's.

He was tall, fit, had gorgeous eyes and could sprawl more sexily than any of them.  There was no question that when the anomalies went public he would be the poster boy.

Stephen was horrified when he saw the new Special Forces Captain that Lester was recruiting.  He was tall, fit, had perfect hair and leaned more sexily than anyone.

Competition was not a good thing.

Best Laid Plans...

Stephen was not happy.

The new Captain had come charging in to rescue the ARC team from Leek, and had just led Connor and Abby to safety.  Now he was heading back to rescue the rest of them.  He didn't have a scratch on him, or a hair out of place.

Stephen wasn't going to make it easy for him.  He punched Cutter and dived back into Leek's menagerie, locking the door.

"Hah!" he thought.  "Let's see Captain Perfect deal with this one!"

As twelve pairs of hungry eyes glittered at him, he noticed a small flaw in his plan...

The Cavalry

Stephen was still not happy.  His plan had gone seriously wrong.

Becker had burst into Leek's menagerie, struck a pose that owed far more to Hollywood than any Special Forces training, then proceeded to mow down all of the creatures before they could eat Stephen.

Because Stephen had forgotten to grab a gun before going in there, he couldn't even join in.

"That was bloody stupid!"  Cutter told Stephen.

"That was bloody brilliant!" Connor told Becker.

Becker leaned sexily against the wall, posing again, and held his gun in a position that bordered on pornographic.  "That was nothing."

Stephen smouldered.
