The new student was a tall, wide-eyed young man in his final year. Good-looking too, Cutter noticed. Lucky that he was Helen's student, not some predatory man-eater who might take advantage.
There was a curious tension when Cutter re-entered the room. It was just for a moment, and he thought he must have imagined it.
But when the newcomer smiled at Helen, and she smiled back, he couldn't help feeling like the odd one out.
He shrugged the feeling off. They'd been married a long time now, he knew her too well. She would never do anything to hurt him.
