So I am a very very fervent Secret/Beast shipper (as evidenced by my fan fiction "Lead" and "Through The Lens", haha). And I'd just like to collect all of the interactions that we've seen so far between the two amazing groups and hope for some more!

SECRET/BEAST
* They debuted around the same time (almost the same day? or was it the same day?)
* Their members were known before debuting and had overcome many challenges to debut. Both groups' members have each trained for many years (Hence, Secret's "3 Years 6 Months" and I think Beast members trained for an average of 4-5 years?). Some of their members' pre-debut endeavors were very publicized - Hyosung and 5 Girls, Hyunseung and Big Bang, for example.
* Being good singers is important to these two groups. What I mean by this is that they both seem to have a focus on being good singers. Because of this, both groups have AMAZING live capabilities - they don't need autotune. And even their 'rappers' can sing well - it's not like a member was placed into the group just to be the face or just to be the dancer - ALL of them are singers.
* They have used the same songwriters.
- Shinsadong Tiger wrote "Magic" and he has also written several songs for Beast.
- The writer of Beast's "Mystery" also wrote for Secret.
* There seems to be some sort of connection between TS and Cube.
- Secret is close with 4Minute as evidenced by Secret guesting on 4Minute's Friend Day Mini Concert and G.Na (Especially Hyosung, because of 5 Girls).
- Much of Secret's music is credited as being recorded at Cube. Zinger once tweeted about how they were in the Cube recording studio (Source) and Jieun tweeted referencing how she missed the Cube recording studio ( Source).
- They both follow and tweet to people on Twitter that appear to be affiliated with Cube. Zinger has even tweeted with Papa Cube (the President of Cube).
* Also, the Secret girls are openly Beast fans, haha.
- In Kim Bum Soo's radio show, the girls mentioned that they listened to Beast's "Bad Girl" in the car.
- When Secret started doing the boy band dance tributes during "Shy Boy", their first time was with Beast's "Soom" on 01.14.2011 and then later they did a tribute of "Mystery" and "Shock" on 02.11.2011.

HYOSUNG
* Hyosung is especially close with G.Na, who is in Cube with Beast, because of their history as being in Five Girls. Hyosung also trained with Gayoon of 4Minute (another Cube group), which she mentioned when Secret were special guests on 4Minute's Friend Day Mini Concert
* On MayBee's "Raise Up The Volume" on 11.19.2009, Hyosung said that the girls of Secret wanted to become closer with Beast and MBLAQ and when pressed for more specifics, Hyosung said that she in particular wanted to get close to Beast
* On the 11.20.2009 "Magazine1 Idol 24 Hours", the Secret members were given the mission of making themselves known to other singers and they each picked a sunbae out of a jar. Hyosung picked Beast! - When she met with Beast, as Beast sang "Bad Girl", Hyosung did the dance to it
* In a UFO Town message, Zinger said that Secret and Beast shared the same debut day, but Hyosung automatically corrected her, knowing that Beast debuted one day later. At 1:53: http://youtu.be/n2Wti9gXL6Q
* On 100 Points Out Of 100 in Ep. 16 when Kikwang and Yoseob were doing the Beast hit song medley, Hyosung was dancing along in her seat. When Kikwang was "teaching" how to do the dance to Soom, Hyosung already knew the basics. Also, when it was asked how to Korean-ize the English lyrics to Beast's songs, she contributed as she already knew the lyrics
* Hyosung guest-hosted Ep. 5 of "A Pink News" for A Pink, which is under A Cube, the sister company to Beast's company

HYOSUNG/DOOJOON
* Leaders/Oldest of the group
* Both were in documentaries before being in their respective groups; Hyosung was in the documentary about Five Girls and Doojoon was in 'Hot Blood' for 2AM/2PM
* Apparently on some Star Golden Bell episode (I haven't seen it), Hyosung picked Doojoon as her ideal type (Source)
* Hyosung is not a big fan of big amusement park rides like the Viking (as evidenced by their MTV 24 Hours where they go to Lotte World) and Doojoon has talked about not liking the Viking as well (He talks about it at the end of an appearance on ChinChin)
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview where the Secret girls talk about their 'Shy Boy's, it basically ended up being that Hyosung likes good-looking, muscled guys who are outwardly a bit hard to get to know but have a warm heart inside. Doojoon is certainly good-looking and athletic, and sometimes he puts on a rough image, but we all know he's a teddy bear inside. :)
* They both have amazing thighs, lulz.

HYOSUNG/HYUNSEUNG
* Both were in documentaries before being in their respective groups; Hyosung was in the documentary about Five Girls and Hyunseung was in the documentary about Big Bang
* Hyosung said on Sweet Sorrow's Ten-Ten Club that she likes kkotminams (pretty boys)...And Hyunseung is often described as being "pretty"
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview, Hyosung described how her ideal type was somebody who has a colder exterior but a kind heart inside. Hyunseung can sometimes at first appear to be hard to get to know, but he is very warm when you get to know him! Also, Hyosung likes broad shoulders and muscled bodies, and Hyunseung fits the bill!

HYOSUNG/JUNHYUNG
* At 1:09 of this fancam of the Star Golden Bell episode, where after the limbo contest, Hyosung and Junhyung talk for a moment and Hyosung laughs her great laugh
* In Part 9 of Kim Bum Soo's radio show, at 4:18, Junhyung makes a comment to Hyosung, lightly teasing her
* In the promo for B2ST Almighty, Junhyung's wish was to go on dates. In the Nike women's race promo, Hyosung's item on her bucket list had to do with dating as well - she wanted to be a part of a "campus couple"
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview, Hyosung described how her ideal type was somebody who has a colder exterior but a kind heart inside, and that she does like bad boys. Junhyung puts on a very tough image, but inside, he's a total softie.

HYOSUNG/YOSEOB
* Yoseob's ideal type is a cute girl with long, straight hair. Hyosung is without a doubt, very cute. Her hair changes, but for "I Want You Back", her hair was long and straight
* They're both the shortest members of their groups (Arguably, Kikwang's really not that much taller and Zinger and Jieun are pretty short, too, but I think officially they're the two shortest)
* They're both deceptively young-looking. Hyosung has introduced herself as the 'fake maknae' (on a radio show, the filming of which was a part of "Magazine 1 Idol 24 Hours") and Yoseob is also known as the 'visual maknae'
* 100 Points Out Of 100. They are both regulars on the show, so there are little moments here and there, but Ep. 13 has some especially good ones.
- When Yoseob's ready to run to the microphone, Hyosung puts her hands on Yoseob's back, ready to help give him a pushing start
- When Joon and Yoseob fight for the microphone for the music game, Hyosung pulls Joon away and secures the microphone for Yoseob. Hyosung waves him over and puts her hands on his arm to pull him over
- When the cast 'translate into Korean' Beast's "Soom", Yoseob changes his "I DA NAAAA" into Korean and you can see for a split second on the screen that Hyosung lightly hits him in that "You're so funny!" way...if that makes sense
- Yoseob in particular always hovers behind Hyosung, I think almost every single time she's up for the music game
- There's a moment where their team goes over to hear a hint and after everybody else on their team leaves, they stay there for a second, exchanging looks and what looks to be discussing the hint
- Yoseob leans over to whisper something in Hyosung's ear during the music game, while they're listening to the question of Kara's "Pretty Girl." And then Hyosung leans over to whisper into Yoseob's ear.


- Both of them took a fall at some point when they failed the music game, and each time, the other leaned down a little bit to help, although they retracted their hands quickly (probably to be careful of crazy fans?)
* 100 Points Out Of 100 Ep. 16
- This is the episode where Kikwang says he likes Hyosung, but Yoseob's responses could potentially be interpreted as him liking her.
- When Hyosung and Kikwang do the aegyo exchange (Read about it in the Hyosung/Kikwang section below), Yoseob says somewhat indignantly to Kikwang, "What, are you washing your face?" about Kikwang's aegyo motion.
- Then when Hyosung gets excited about Kikwang's muscles (again, read below in the Hyosung/Kikwang section), Yoseob calls Hyosung out and is basically like, are you really that excited about his muscles right now?!

- From about 0:45-0:48, Sunhwa and Hyosung bow to Yoseob. Also, sidenote, but it's interesting how Hyosung is bowing to Yoseob but Yoseob waves to Jieun. Hyosung and Yoseob worked together for quite a while on "100 Points Out Of 100" so you would think that they would be more friendly than Jieun and Yoseob...

HYOSUNG/KIKWANG
* Kikwang's ideal type has a sort of round face with chubby cheeks. Hyosung's face is kinda on the round side?
* In Part 10 of Kim Bum Soo's radio show at 7:31, you can see Hyosung and Kikwang chatting. They were seated next to each other the whole time.
* 100 Points Out Of 100 Ep. 16
- Kikwang reveals that he is particularly interested in Hyosung. A lot of cuteness ensues.
- Yoseob confirms that Kikwang likes Hyosung and says, "Since before - I mean, since "Shy Boy", Kikwang has liked Hyosung. He would comment how she really performs well...she's cute..."
- One particular highlight is when they do aegyo for each other. Hyosung goes, "If you don't love me, then I'll cry, heugyu heugyu" and then Kikwang says, "Don't cry~".
- Later, Kikwang is asked to do push-ups and show off his muscles and Hyosung gets excited - she exclaims "They're muscles!" while half-covering her face in excitement.
* 100 Points Out Of 100 Ep. 22
- It couldn't get any more obvious. There's a lot of open teasing of Hyosung and Kikwang in this episode.
- And of course, the Secret Garden parody.

* When Hyosung and Sunhwa guest hosted "A Pink News", Hyosung commented that she was envious that the A Pink girls got to film a music video with Kikwang (At about 3:00 in this Secret cut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh501_EWJL8)
* While leaving the hotel for Hollywood Bowl 2011, a fan tried to ask Hyosung to say hi to Kikwang for her, but Hyosung misunderstood and said, "We're just friends!" See the video! Thanks crossedlanding!
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview, basically it ended up being that Hyosung's ideal type would have a nice body. And Kikwang definitely works out his body!
* During the 06.10.2011 Music Bank Encore, Kikwang and Hyosung wave to each other and Hyosung does a "Fighting!" gesture around 1:22 Thanks crossedlanding!



HYOSUNG/DONGWOON
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview, Hyosung described how she likes guys who are taller than her, and Dongwoon is definitely tall!

ZINGER
* In Kim Bum Soo's radio show, Zinger was the one who mentioned that Secret listened to Beast in the car and she was thus able to imitate part of "Bad Girl." She was also singing and dancing along to Beast's performances.

* In a tweet on 06.11.2011, Zinger retweeted a tweet from somebody who I think worked on both Beast's 'Fiction' and Secret's 'Starlight Moonlight' music videos. The tweet was about being happy that 'Fiction' had won first place and that 'Starlight Moonlight' was doing well.

ZINGER/DOOJOON
* Zinger said on Sweet Sorrow's Ten-Ten Club that she likes men that are like 짐승 - meaning beastly and muscled, etc. Doojoon is an avid soccer player, leading to his 'stone thighs'
* Speaking of which, both of them have great thighs, haha
* Zinger went to dance school with Sunye and was particularly close with her there. Sunye is in JYP, which Doojoon was in
* In the promo for B2ST Almighty, Doojoon's wish had to do with traveling. In the Nike women's race promo, Zinger's item on her bucket list had to do with traveling as well.
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview, it basically ended up that Zinger likes older 'tough guys' with nice muscled bodies. Doojoon definitely loves his soccer and has a very manly image!

ZINGER/HYUNSEUNG
* Zinger went to dance school with CL of 2NE1, in YG. Hyunseung trained in YG and was originally in Big Bang
* Both particularly love dance. Zinger did a lot of streetdance before debuting with Secret
* In the 01.20.2011 The Star Interview, it basically ended up that Zinger likes older guys with nice broad shoulders and muscled bodies. And Hyunseung has broad shoulders, great arms, and abs - definitely fitting Zinger's bill!

ZINGER/JUNHYUNG
* Rappers (who also have very nice singing voices, as well!)
* Like hip hop
* In Kim Bum Soo's radio show, Zinger imitated Junhyung's "UH!" at the beginning of "Bad Girl"
* Zinger gained popularity on Flower Bouquet for "Zinger Time", which was Zinger doing the dance to Hyunah's "Change" which featured Junhyung
* Both have a rather tough image, but the first time they won a music show, they were crying crying crying
* Zinger initially didn't make her first TS audition. Junhyung initially didn't make his first Cube audition. However, both of them went back and approached their respective company presidents to get them to reconsider. Zinger's tactics were a little different than Junhyung's, though - Junhyung went back to say that there's nowhere else he could go and that he would keep on auditioning whereas Zinger sent a text message after her second audition saying "If you don't pick me, you will always regret it"

* Both Zinger and Kikwang tend to be the last member to shower (According to Secret's 2010.08.25 OBS Interview and Beast's 2009.11.06 The Star Interview)

ZINGER/DONGWOON
* They follow each other on Twitter - and have tweeted each other on two occasions. Interestingly, Dongwoon's tweets to Zinger seem to have disappeared...?
- The first time on 04.15.2011, Dongwoon tweeted Zinger to tell her that he was under her (I'm guessing that Secret were practicing and Beast was practicing in a room on the floor directly underneath). You can see Zinger's response to Dongwoon still.
- Then, on 05.31.2011, Dongwoon tweeted about a birthday present he got from Junhyung and Zinger responded, wishing him a happy birthday. Then Dongwoon tweeted back correcting her that it wasn't his birthday yet, and then Zinger responded that she was sorry for the mix-up.
* Perhaps the most visibly crying of their groups during their first wins at a music show
* Zinger went to dance school with Sunye and was particularly close with her there. Sunye is in JYP, which Dongwoon was in

JIEUN
* When asked which male idol group she would want to have a 'group meeting' with on Sweet Sorrow's Ten Ten Club, she responded that her own personal preference was Beast
* When listening to Beast perform on Kim Bum Soo's radio show, Jieun mouthed along to the words and danced along as well

JIEUN/DOOJOON
* They were both in JYP. On the 06.19.2010 episode of 세바퀴 {Quiz To Change The World}, Jieun spoke about how when she had been a JYP trainee, she had once been scolded by Jo Kwon. Doojoon then corroborated Jieun's story with his own experience with Kwon.
* Jieun cameoed in "More Charming By The Day", which Doojoon was a regular cast member in
* I haven't actually seen this in a video or anything, but I read here that when at a supermarket, Doojoon wanted to buy things but Yoseob stopped him. This is a lot like how when Secret were at Lotte World during MTV 24, Jieun wanted to buy these headband things and Sunhwa wouldn't let her.
* Narsha's "Raise Up The Volume" - The two of them were considered regular guests together twice
- 05.26.2010 - They took the picture below and in the write-up below the photo, they were apparently going for a couple concept where the couple was Jieun/Doojoon! Although they did say it ended up looking more like a family photo...

JIEUN/HYUNSEUNG
* Both sometimes are described as having 'cold' expressions on their faces when not smiling
* In a behind-the-scenes of Kim Bum Soo's radio show, Beast was asked what they thought of Secret. Hyunseung began to say, "Their singing - " but then trailed off and said quietly, "They're very good at singing". Beast came into the show after Secret had finished singing their songs, so the only singing they had heard was Jieun singing "I Have Nothing", so we can deduce that Hyunseung was talking about Jieun
* In a promo for B2ST Almighty, Hyunseung says that his wish is to get his license. In the Nike women's race promo, Jieun's item on her bucket list was also to get her license.
* Hyunseung is one of the neatest members of Beast and Jieun at least used to be the neatest member of Secret

JIEUN/JUNHYUNG
* Junhyung is one of the neatest members of Beast and Jieun at least used to be the neatest member of Secret
* In the G20 "Let's Go" MV, Jieun and Junhyung stand next to each other for a good portion of the music video. At the beginning, Junhyung raps while Jieun ad-libs - and of course, they sound great together! One cute moment in particular:


Just look at the grin on Junhyung's face! Just look at it!
* Then there's the SGB ep where Secret and Junhyung & Yoseob appeared. Hyosung was saying that there were male idol friends who had a crush on Jieun. Hyosung said this male idol had a shared initial of S - and another guest on SGB was like, "Hey! Is it Yoseob because there's an S in BeaSt and YoSeob?" and Yoseob denied it. Then Junhyung intervened and said that Yoseob likes IU and Jieun was like "Ah...THAT Jieun." (because IU's real name is Jieun, too). One way to interpret this is that Junhyung is the one who likes Jieun and didn't want to leave it at people thinking it was Yoseob who liked Jieun.

JIEUN/YOSEOB
* Lead vocals. In particular, lead vocals who are INCREDIBLE live
* Both in JYP at some point (I'm not 100% sure about Yoseob, but I've seen mentions of it)
* They were both in indie bands in high school, performing in local clubs
* Both of them appear to be one of the more responsible members of the group in terms of housekeeping. In Beast Almighty and Idol Maid, you see Yoseob being good about doing dishes and such. In some interview, it was mentioned that before Secret had a cleaning lady, Jieun used to do the dishes and cleaning.
* Sometimes they both act like the maknaes, even though they're not. Yoseob is the "visual maknae" as he also looks really young. Jieun's nickname is "Choding Jieun" {Choding refers to an elementary school student...meaning that Jieun acts like she's that old, haha!) and it has been said in an interview about how she acts childish, perhaps because she was born on Children's Day.
* Yoseob's ideal type is a cute girl with long, straight hair. Jieun can be very cute - hence, Choding Jieun!. Her hair changes, but for "Magic", her hair was long and straight
* Yoseob fits the bill of Jieun's idol type really well. In the 01.20.2011 Star Interview, Jieun described her ideal type.
- A warm, funny personality. Yoseob definitely has that kind of personality!
- Jieun doesn't need her ideal man to be that much taller than her. And, well, Yoseob is the shortest in Beast...
- Zinger said something about Jieun likes guys who "앙증맞고" ...which I wasn't sure what it meant, but the dictionary says means 'miniature,' lol.
- The other Secret girls further elaborated that Jieun tends to like guys who take on the aegyo, cute image, which Yoseob definitely takes on in Beast!
- Jieun prefers men the same age as her (which Yoseob is) as well.
- Basically, I am convinced that Yoseob is Jieun's ideal type.
* During a radio interview (Sweet Sorrow's Ten Ten Club...I haven't seen it on YouTube or anything, though), Jieun was asked which male idol group she would want Secret to have a "group meeting" with. She responded Beast and then she was pressed for a specific member - which she answered Yoseob because she particularly likes people who can sing well. Upon hearing this, Sweet Sorrow suggested that a duet with her and Yoseob would be great - to which the response was how well they would match! (I so agree, I would LOVE to hear a Jieun/Yoseob duet!)
* In the Kim Bum Soo radio show, there were a few things here and there - Jieun singing and dancing along to Yoseob's dance solo, Yoseob interjecting an encouraging word before Jieun's solo, etc. etc.
* In a behind-the-scenes look of that radio show on Secret's MTV 24, Beast is asked what they think about Secret. Yoseob interjects with a phrase about how now he has experienced what it is like to have his ear melt (It's a Korean phrase that doesn't really translate well, haha - it's basically just saying how the sounds he was hearing were just that beautiful) and he must be referring to Jieun, because all of Secret's performances were before Beast arrived, but they did see Jieun performing "I Have Nothing".
* Back to the SGB ep. where Hyosung says there are male idols who like Jieun. Many people take that at face value and say that Yoseob is an IU fanboy, but another way to interpret it is that Junhyung wanted to save Yoseob's rep and that the way he said to Yoseob afterwards "You see, she's also a Jieun" was more of an epiphany of how well that actually worked out and the way Yoseob frantically nodded at the IU comment was because he doesn't want his love for Secret's Jieun to come out.
* "Immortal Song 2" Ep. 02
- When Jieun first walks in, she talks about how she had been on some variety show with Yoseob (We can infer that she's referring to when they were on the last episode of "100 Points Out Of 100"), she had chatted with Yoseob, asking questions about the format of "Immortal Song 2" and such.
- At that, Yehsung interjects with, "You're sure you're talking about meeting at a variety show, right?" implying that there are times that Jieun and Yoseob meet outside of work
- When the cast members have to pick who's singing first, Yoseob has this smile on his face as he leans forward and says something teasing (I can't quite make out what it is) as he points his microphone at Jieun
- When Jieun finishes her song, it's her turn to pick whoever comes next. Yoseob asks in the waiting room if now is when Jieun is supposed to pick and Yehsung says to him, "It's going to be you!" Lulz, Yehsung is such a Jieun/Yoseob shipper, puahahaha
- The remaining cast members are talking about scoring and Yoseob is closely watching the screen and interjects the equivalent of "It's time!" when Jieun is about to pick the next singer
- Jieun picks Yoseob to be the next singer and in her little introduction, she says that she really likes Yoseob's voice and that he's a really great singer
- Yoseob's reaction is priceless. He thought Jieun was going to pick Jonghyun. As Yoseob gets up, Hyorin says, "Even so, she says you're a singer she likes!" but Hyorin pauses after saying the liking part. Basically, the way the Korean grammatical structure is, it would be the equivalent of Hyorin being like, "Even so, she says she likes you...as a singer!"


- Jieun and Yoseob stand next to each other when the rankings for the first week are revealed, and they also stand next to each other at some point while they're listening to Boowhal
- When Jieun's ranking was revealed, Jieun talked about how she had been shaking with nervousness. Then when Yoseob's rank was announced, he said "I had been shaking with nervousness a lot, too," grouping himself with Jieun!
- After Jieun sings a little bit of the Boowhal song she originally picked, Yoseob is the first to say (I think) "It sounds so refreshing!" and then he says something else that I couldn't really hear. In fact, throughout Jieun's part, Yoseob keeps on kinda making these comments, although they weren't big enough to be really focused on on camera. In a sense, that could just mean that he just wants to keep on talking about her at every opportunity.
- In the preview for next week, they keep showing the face-off between Jieun and Yoseob...

- Yoseob hadn't really been smiling at all before this (he hadn't been very happy with 'fans' spreading rumors that he has a girlfriend), but after he waves to Jieun, you can see briefly that he's smiling
- At 0:49, Jieun brushes her bangs to the side and then a split second later, Yoseob brushes his bangs to the side. It's not actually an interaction, lol, but it's still really cute
- At about 1:17-1:24, Yoseob walks over and he stands right in front of Jieun and he's talking to her. As he walks away, he's still talking to her and gestures in her direction - from what I can make out, he does like a crossing of the arms in a "No good!" kind of way (if that makes any sense...), and then he either points at her or gives her a thumbs up, and then does like the cheering fist shaking thing. Haha, my descriptions don't really make sense, but basically, if I had to guess, it looks like he might be telling her how he's not on Immortal Song 2 anymore (Jieun seems to be saying, "오, 진짜?" {'Oh, jinjja?' which means 'Oh really?'} and then makes a really cute sad face) and then cheering her on for the Immortal Song 2 recording the next day?

- When Yoseob and Suzy were doing the whole "staring-into-each-other's-eyes" thing, Sunhwa said that of course she was a little envious because she was sitting right next to Suzy, so she could catch some of Yoseob's gaze.
- Then in the mission where Sunhwa wasn't supposed to dance, Yoseob stood up to Sunhwa's defense and insisted that he could dance "Magic" instead of her
- During the same game, when they lifted up Sunhwa's chair, Yoseob leaned in verrrrry close.
* I haven't actually seen this in a video or anything, but I read here that when at a supermarket, Doojoon wanted to buy things but Yoseob stopped him. This is a lot like how when Secret were at Lotte World during MTV 24, Jieun wanted to buy these headband things and Sunhwa wouldn't let her.
