A lost friend
Losing a friend is never easy
Losing them to cancer
Because of the doctors mistake
Is horrifying
I can remember her voice calm and beautiful
I can fell her warm and caring touch
I can smell her scent
I can see her glasses
And that large smile of hers
Knowing she is in a better place
Makes me feel better
But that she had to die
Still angers me to this day
A Quiet Place
Some where that no one will find
A place no one can ruin
A place that no one can infiltrate
Or invade
It could be in the woodlands
Or near a murky swamp
In a grassy field
Or up in the mountains
A place to think
About what I’ve done
Or what I’m going to do
Peaceful and tranquil
Full of beauty
A place to be proud of
A quiet place
