After 10 hours, Angel, Clay and Marcus finally left the plane.
“Thank goodness! That was very freaky!” Angel said to her husband. They walked up to the luggage carrier and waited for theirs. 20 minutes later, the luggage still hasn’t arrived.
“GREAT! Just what we need, our luggage lost!” Angel’s moodiness kicked in again. She threw up her hands in disgust and walked over to the information desk. Clay, worried that Angel would scream at the poor woman, tapped Marcus on the shoulder.
“Mommy may need our help.” Clay signed to his son. Marcus looked at Clay, then his mom.
“No, I was to stay here. Mommy is scary.” The words hit Clay in the chest. Their first son is afraid of Angel! Never in a million years had he ever dreamed that their kids would be scared of their mother.
“Why do you say that?” Clay managed to say. Marcus glanced at Angel.
“She’s mean sometimes. One hour she’s happy the next she’s mad.” Marcus then looked at Clay and he saw tears welling up in his son’s eyes. Clay understood how he felt, he too is a bit scared to Angel. But he knew that deep down inside, Angel was still Angel. He got down on his knees and sighed.
“Mommy is going to have a baby, and the baby makes mommy sound-” Clay glances at her and heard her yelling “-Crazy.” He finished. Marcus’ face looked puzzled.
“Where is the baby?” Clay lead Marcus to Angel who found out that their luggage was picked up by Lisa already. He gently placed Marcus’ hands on Angel stomach and explained to Angel what he asked.
“Here…The baby is in Mommy’s tummy.” Angel smiled and bent down to kiss Marcus who was awed.
“YUCK! No kisses please!” Marcus wiped off Angel’s kiss, who pretended to be cryi
“Angel? Clay?” A voice called. The family turned around and saw Lisa, brown medium length hair, brown eyes, and with three little girls and a baby.
“LISA!” Angel ran to her and kissed her.
“YUCK!” Marcus signed again as Clay kissed Lisa.
“Hi, guys! And you must be Marcus” Lisa said and signed with one hand. She had 4 nephews, so she knew Marcus wouldn’t want a kiss. She stuck out her hand and Marcus shook it.
“Well this is Amanda-” She pointed to the oldest girl. She looked a lot like Alan, blonde hair, blues eye’s that sparkled, and a friendly smile.
“-Britt-” A shy girl stepped forward. She had black hair and green eyes. She blushed when Clay gave her a hug. She also had blue glasses.
“-Colleen-” The youngest girl leapt into Clay’s arms. She had a yellow sundress on with her blonde hair in pigtails and brown eyes.
“HIYA!” Colleen said
“Hiya! I’m Uncle Clay!” Clay laughed. He loved little girls, and he knew he was going to love his nieces.
“-And finally, Danny.” She put the baby in Angel’s arms.
‘So this is what it feels like!’ Angel thought. Danny had red hair and blue eyes, an unusual combination.
“Colleen and Danny are adopted.” Lisa explained. She knew that Angel wanted to adopt ever since she was 12. So after a while of hearing the wonderful things Angel planned to do, Lisa also got involved.
“Ok, let’s go!” Lisa led the way and Colleen grabbed Marcus’ hand. To Angel’s surprise, he allowed her to lead him. Clay put his arm around Angel and followed the kids. The student watched as Angel complained about their luggage and when they met their nieces and nephews.
“Soon, Soon.” Was all she said as she vanished into the crowd.
