Denouement

At the end of June, I finished work on what was, as far as my schooling is concerned, my magnum opus - a fully complete (albeit admittedly short) adventure game based on the “Nigel & Nigel” universe that I created back in high school. I’ve wanted to make this game since I started at Brown in March of 2005, and seeing it come to fruition was one of the greatest joys I’ve ever experienced. It worked out as well as I’d hoped and was regarded by my fellow students/teachers as ambitious, well done, and - my personal favorite - hilarious.

With the success of the game (which I’ll be releasing on this very website very, very soon), my time at Brown honestly felt, in a sense, complete. I’d accomplished my greatest goal, reached the point I wanted to reach, and so on. It is perhaps unfortunate then, in a way, that I still have 9 months to go until I actually have my degree. It’s not that the classes I have left aren’t important or anything like that, but it just feels a bit anti-climactic right now. Rather unmotivating.

Any of you folks out there ever experience this?
