I could’ve posted yesterday, but I didn’t. GRR. I’ve already messed up with my plan. Oh well. I’ll do better next time I guess.
It seems like at least once a week, I get stuck in a situation where I am about to purchase something and I get unbelievably stressed. Where to get it, whether to use cash, plastic…and sometimes even what to get in the first place. This usually happens when it comes to purchases related to my game collection. In my head, I have somewhat of a mental list pertaining to what I want, but this too is flawed for several reasons:
- The list is CONSTANTLY changing. This usually means it’s getting longer and that means there are more things to decide from.
- In my brief time as a ‘collector’, I have quickly learned how to become VERY picky about the condition of games. At this point, I won’t buy anything that’s not in near mint to pristine condition. Sometimes this makes decisions much easier. Other times, I’ll see a game I want in bad condition and then I’ll stop at nothing to find another copy that’s in perfect shape. I’ve traveled VERY far to find stuff (or in some cases to NOT find stuff), which is a massive waste of my time.
Actually, those are the only two reasons. But it sucks. Maybe I should make a physical list so that I can pick something from it, look for it, and then move onto the next thing. I might be less spontaneous that way, who knows. Any thoughts on this matter are of course appreciated.
