On Collecting

As some of you probably know already, I’m a game collector. I’m still in the beginning stages of the collecting process. But I’ve really enjoyed it. It is a cash-sucking hobby, unfortunately, and I hope I don’t go TOO overboard. Knowing me, I probably will…but then I can learn my lesson. I plan to go to an independent game store this afternoon that’s having a 50% off sale and see if I can find anything that I’m looking for (I’m working on my N64 collection right now, and those titles are thankfully fairly inexpensive and easy to find). I’m not sure what system(s) I’ll do next after that. We’ll see, I guess.

On the subject of gaming, my friend Josh owns a game store called the Game Cauldron. He wants to sell it. To me. I’m not really sure if I could justify doing that…it’d depend on who would go in on it with me. I’ll certainly consider it, though. I’d love to own a game store, and now would be as good of a time as any to do it (since I don’t have any bills to pay these days). Only time will tell, of course. If any of you out there near me would be interested in going in on a business loan to own a game store, let me know. It could be fun.
