I see the phrase "x-posted" or something to that effect on some people's journals. What does that mean? I use multiple journal sites, so is there a way to to post on both of them or something?
x-posted means that they posted in another place or another Journal so you are right =P It just means I like posted it in my LJ and then on ..birl or something..=P
To add to Kendra's fabulous explanation, there's no way to do that with the click of a button . . . essentially, copy what you want, then post and paste it to each place you want it.
For example . . . one of my sorority sisters and I are friends on livejournal. So if she cross posts something to her journal (fifi225), then the ucf community because she goes to my school, and then our sorority's community (katheta), then on my friends list I will have all three posts, probably with nothing in between them because she did them all at the same time. So since I got the same thing three times, she puts on there, "Sorry for the x-post" or "x-posted in (and lists where she posted it)"
I guess. For some reason, I was thinking there was some sort of program that was doing it, but I guess not. Oh well...one less program for me to download. :P

I'm going to guess you mean trackbacks because that's the only thing that comes to mind. Let's say I talk about this post on my site. A trackback would be posted here as a comment linking to what I said on my site. You don't have to do anything because the blog tool has it build into it. I know Word Press, Moveable Type, and some others have this feature. I don't think it's completely standard yet though.
