An Escape

At the end of a lengthy week filled with many energy consuming cases, the weekend was a destination much looked forward to.
Plans to hike with a few enjoyable co-workers on Sunday were looking as bleak as the weather forecast to come. Along with the prospect of more canceled plans, the intention of visiting a friend on my way home from work Friday failed to come to fruition.
Lack of something to do stirred restlessness within and I started looking to other avenues of play.
Rousing some fraction of energy and hoping to start a process that would live on it's own momentum; I called a friend, Morris, to see what possibilities we could manage for a night with no prospective plans. Jackpot.

Another great evening hanging out with a good friend, filled with light chatting, deep conversation, almost getting stranded out on an empty gas tank, heavy drinking (after all driving was done.. no I'm not that stupid), interesting people watching at The Castle (a bar), and poor accuracy and attention span with shooting people in Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (a comp. game)... all this until around 4-4:30am when it all came to an abrupt end as I decided I was tired and apparently fell asleep instantaneously after stating such (I'm just happy I made it to the couch/futon and didn't end up on the hard floor mid-step ;)~ ).

The next day was a pleasant continuation of hanging out... a trip to Sam's Club in Poughkeepsie where my wallet was much too light upon leaving and to visit my mom with plenty of comedic commentary thrown in to create much fun

"You look like you need some stuffing!" ;)~ that should be the next StoveTop sales phrase

then back to my house to eat, chill, play Gamecube and watch some cable.... from there back to Morris' for more killing potential with GRAW

after all this enjoyment with a person I consider quite a good friend, I hung out some with an ex whom I'm still good friends with and we watched Down Periscope on DVD... many laughs enjoyed from both as we both enjoy Kelsey Grammer often in Frasier

now it is 2am and I am damn tired and rambling...

we shall see what the weather tomorrow will bring, who knows... maybe plans of hiking will be resurrected or new plans summoned forth... time will tell the tale that I am unable to see thus far ;)~
enjoy your nights
