To the crypt

Golan Heights. A bunker. From here you can see Jordan, the river and the cuntry.

Just about everyone in Israel serves 3 years in the military when they turn 18. It's a very different situation for them. They make T-shirts for their units. "Why the fuck did I take the red pill?"

A cliff, descending Masada.

View from Masada. It's a mountain in the desert. The shiny thing in the distance is the dead sea.

Pre-sunset from Masada. If you don't know what Masada is, it's a mountain. What makes it special is that king Herod built a palace-fortress on it around 30BC. 100 years later a small band of jews revolted against the Roman rule, but were driven out. They made their escape to Masada, still stocked with grains and running water. The Zealots, ~960 of them, lived on the fortress for three years before they were found out. The Romans seiged the place for three months before finally building a badass ramp to the top and busting through their wall. What they found were 960 dead people, their throats already slit. The Israelis, wanting to instill the Jewish warrior attitude in their youth, take students after their Bene-Mitzvahs here to tell the story.

Arad

There are a lot of guns in Israel.

I don't know why this matza is in this box on a wall.
