Quit WoW
I haven’t updated my life in a while.
~I finally quit World of Warcraft. I’ve been playing since Day 1, and
I finally let it go, most likely for good. I gave my guild to a good
guy, I cancelled my account and I deleted the game from my hard drive
- it’s over and done finally. I feel like a giant stressful
obligation is now off my chest and I can breathe. I can focus on
console games, such as Final Fantasy XIII “Muahahaha.”
~Michelle’s dad died last Monday. He was 79 and had prostate cancer I
believe - a rough past few years, but he went peacefully. I couldn’t
make the service because of work but Angie came up and Jeremy’s
parents came down and I got to hang out with them a couple weeknights.
He was a good guy, I was sorry that he had it so rough the past few
years.
~Three weekends ago I went out on a Saturday to see a Standup Comedy
show. Apparently I was the only single guy in the audience, too. I
went with Michelle, Jeremy, Nessie, Leenie and a large group of other
people that I believe are co-workers of them. After show we went to
Tressas for drinks then we went to Cinjades (sp?). Left Cinjades with
a bit of drama - made for an eventful night to say the least. Oh,
and I danced with Precious…
~Two weekends ago I went out with Matt/Amanda and Ginny to Northside
for a few drinks and to hang out for a few hours. Afterwards they
dropped me off at the Boiler room to see Grammar School play. I had a
great time the whole night - I drank quite a bit, though and had to
have a recovery day on that Saturday.
~This past weekend I had Friday off and I took yesterday off so I
could go home. I left Asheville early on Thursday and hung out with
Terrence and Laura in Raleigh. We went to Red Robin (I got my
favorite burger ever), then we went to Pirate Night at a club in
Raleigh. I got to meet a few people from Laura’s goth crew -
including her new man. The club was really nice, I couldn’t get into
the music too much, though. Basso and I left around 12:30ish.
~The next day I picked up my aunt from the airport and we drove to New
Bern to my parents house for the weekend. I had a good, relaxing
time. Saturday and Sunday went by in a daze though - I don’t really
know what I did. I ate a lot of jelly beans, and ate a lot in
general. We ate at a Seafood place Friday night, Saturday my grandma
made corn beef and cabbage (which was actually really good) and Sunday
my parents made filet and crab legs (drools). We watched 2012.
~Yesterday I woke up at 7am to drive my Aunt to the airport in Raleigh
again - her flight left at 11:30ish so I had to get her there around
10am. After that I drove home. It was a quick drive, got home around
1pm - didn’t unpack - I pretty much ate, napped and tried to clear a
bit of my DVR. Now I’m back at work again.
