I have this stuffed animal
And he smells like sleep
I take his ear
To my nose
And I breathe in the sleep
I feel the sleep.
I taste the sleep.
It fills the bubble that is my head
With a brume so soft
It passes over my body
Like a sheet of clear silk
My toes relax
My arms go limp
And I breathe in the sleep
Sometimes, when I feel my heart too much
And my soul is in my throat
I take his ear
To my nose
And I breathe in the sleep.
