Hey, all. Some of you may remember the "
In Dreams" Fanged Four series of drabbles I was working on in May prior to my roadtrip. While I never did get the inspiration I was looking for on the road to compete the Angelus drabble, I didn't want that to stop me from posting the Darla one. This is a rather unusual piece because *gasp* it rhymes! I tried

This was not her best moment... they all lost that night...
Loved it! :)

So true! I was thinking Darla must have hated herself, blamed herself for what happened to Angelus, but being the proud thing she is would never admit it. In those early years it must have eaten her up inside.
Thanks for reading!

Darla lost so much that fateful night.
She'd never have her Angelus again.
Well done Darla.

I know! I know! I just haven't been feeling very motivated to write fic, and sometimes I think no one really cares what I have to say unless it's fic related, so I've been pretty quiet. I did post today about what's been going on... but, the well has gone dry a bit. I tried to do some writing last night and it wasn't happening.
But I've missed you, too! *pounces* Maybe I can motivate to do some reading and give you some feedback. My pet project today is trying to choose roadtrip photos for an album. That's gonna take forever!

Nice.
I'm not a Darla fan (at all), but you've done a good job here. So much of the series, she's obsessed with one thing only - Angelus - and you've definitely gotten that down.
Plus - Rhyming!

I would like an official Bloody Awful Poet award!
Actually, funny story behind this installment. I think I was working on finals and hadn't been out for a few days. One evening at around midnight I told my roomy I wanted hazelnut coffee, so we went in search of some and checked three different places, but none of them had it. This sojourn took us across about 5 blocks and an avenue of walking. Along the way I noticed that all the trees were in bloom with pretty flowers. My friend looked at me and said, "Uh, when was the last time you were out?"
Coffee-less, but witha lemon-poppy muffin in hand, I bounced back into my room and wrote this little drabble in one go. I then bounced back out of my room half an hour later and announced to my roomates studying at the kitchen table (now 1:30am) that I had just written Buffy poetry. They all gave me very worried looks...
I'm better now, I swear!
