It'd be fun, but are you just going for the one night? Two days off from work, twelve hours total on a plane, and the cost of round-trip airfare is a lot for what's probably only going to be about an hour-long panel discussion.

Maybe this isn't feasible for other people, but I'd rather take a week, or even a 4-day weekend, and go to a couple of the other events - especially the Friday Night Lights event the night before Buffy. (The full schedule is here.) I've never been to L.A. (or anywhere in California, for that matter), so it'd be nice to spend some time there.

My thinking is, I'm probably going to take a vacation this year anyway - if I'm gonna fly out to L.A., I might as well make it worth it.

Yeah, I said I'd have to be there at least two nights so that I could get to see LA. I've never been to CA either, it is a long trip, and it is expensive. There are definately drawbacks.

My guess is we won't go since it doesn't seem like anyone else is, and the tix may be completely sold out at this point.

It was a fun idea, though. Meanwhile, that's when my spring break falls this year so I'm trying to figure out if I can get my ass to Jamaica or something.

The tickets aren't sold out yet - this website has all the ticket options, and it lists which ones are sold out (so far, only the $750 packages). You could check back on the 10th to see if they're still available.

How many people do you want to be going in order to do this? I mean, you know I'm not big on the "meeting online people" aspect, so it wouldn't bother me if it were just a few of us - and we wouldn't all have to stay the same length of time, if some people don't mind just going overnight.

If I don't go to this, I wouldn't mind going to one of the JM concerts in London, mostly because I really just want to go back to London - and if I did that, it'd be mostly vacation, with one JM event thrown in. If I'm flying to London, though, I'm definitely staying a whole week.
