wow...i could so see dawn trying something like this, and during that summer, spike being tempted to go with it...after all, she was a part of buffy, right? all he had left of her...very very well done, love, very much enjoyed it :)

Hi, hun! Glad you enjoyed it. I was trying to paint Dawn here as a master manipulator. She's being all silly and annoying, but really she's been out to seduce Spike all along. He plays right into her trap, of course. She's a smart girl, and I don't often think she got enough credit for it on the show.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping to convey with the song lyrics at the beginning. They're what inspired this story =)

Damn, now I wish I had written more. That looks like it's going to be one hot encounter between the two of them!

And, wow! You into the Spawn. I must have done something right! I wrote this mainly as an exercise in writing a seduction scene, but so many people have asked "what happens next" that it would be a shame to deny them.

I'm finding Spawn much less squicky than I used to. But like a lot of other pairings, I only find it believable in specific circumstances, and you happened to hit on one. I don't really see Spike thinking of Dawn that way at this age, so he'd have to be in a pretty dark, despairing place to take advantage of her crush on him. Buffy's death is pretty dark, so it works. Also, I can see Dawn acting out in response to it, and trying to seduce Spike, thinking she's older and more mature than she is.

Not as far as I know, but you got me thinking of Spawn the other day and it got the bunnies brewing. You're also such a talent and a wonderful commenter. It's the least I could do =)
