My Spinoza paper is either extremely clever or complete bullshit. I'm leaning towards the latter, but I' not despairing because the weather's lovely and warm (at least until tomorrow) and I'm having dinner with the fantastic LC and JT tonight! And the utterly awesome AP arrives tomorrow!
Although a somewhat small cause for despair--I invested 3 hours last night in making what ended up an utterly mediocre (or worse) white bean and escarole dish. It was kind of watery, really bland, and it takes forever to rinse and chop two 8 oz. heads of escarole. Oh well, I'm already planning my Passover baking: my usual coconut macaroons, chocolate chip meringues, amaretti, chocolate covered Matzoh (my favorite next to those Joyva ring jell things that I gorge myself on year round)... I'd make poached pears stuffed with Stilton, but I'm the only person I know who likes that. And I'm still trying to lose the 4 lbs. that crept up on me over the last month or so...
