How do I lose five months of my lj life?

Here it is, October, and I am finally getting back to my blog, which I strangely abandoned in May.

It wasn't so strange, really. I was so fucking miserable that all I could do was bitch about work.

Welllll...Twas a Thursday in late June when I had a sit down with my boss and told him that, come hell or high water, I was quitting on August 1st. At that time I had no job and no real prospects for one and I figured I'd move to Montana and crash with my sister while I 'found myself'. She was strangely amenable to this option.

The next day I fax my resume to a church outside of Tampa, Florida. A day later I get a call at home from the Pastor. We speak for a few minutes and he sets up a phone interview for Monday night.

Monday night comes along and we have the interview. I am charming, naturally. A few minutes after we conclude the call my phone rings. It is the Pastor who tells me that they'd like to bring me in for a face-to-face interview, and asked what my schedule was for the rest of that *week*?

Wednesday night I am on a red-eye to Florida, get there about 8 AM thursday and have my interview that night.

Sunday I get the job offer. So essentially I got the job in a week.

I moved out here in early August, and have been living at my parents house. They were out of town until early september, so it was ok - the last month, however, has been challenging.

I am a 35-year-old gay man, I never thought I'd be living with mommy and daddy again! It is ok - it is only a temporary thing -they were both so excited that I would be close by, and they both repeatedly offered to have me stay, so I figured I'd give it a few months. Well, I guarantee that Novemeber first will find me in my own cozy little pink palace.

PLus I currently have to commute 60 miles to work...ugh...

I am actually enjoying the job and the people, and have always liked the area.

So, I'll be checking in with more frequency, and much less drama-queeniness.

BTW - the most important thing is that I have started composing music again! PLus I am playing around with an art project - called "20th century Bison" as a Christmas gift for my Montana sister.

Not much happening with my fiction writing, however.

ah well
