one small step for man...
Oh happy day!
I was reading back through LJ and realized I haven't mentioned anything about my day-to-day in about 6 weeks. When I last left you, readers, I was off to Hawaii and off dairy. Little has changed but a few things have happened.
I went to Hawaii. That was great. After that, I went to Ohio for a wedding/Father's Day. When I came back to Charlotte, I was in a bad mood. I got tired of applying for jobs and not hearing anything. I became alarmed at my dwindling savings accounts. The prospect of not traveling seemed depressing. I didn't have anything but leads for tutoring. Shitty times.
Then Chris Hooker came to town around the first of July. I was absolutely miserable for the few days he was here and a lot of things happened while he was here to make me not so thrilled. But eventually, I guess I loosened up a bit.
I had people over for the 4th and left for Ohio again on the 6th. I stayed one night in Columbus, one night in Lakewood and then spent the rest of the week in Wellsville. My parents weren't there until late Friday and it was a bit strange to be alone in their house for a few days.
I came back here last Sunday and immediately had two calls for tutoring. I also go another lead and my lead from this spring has committed to a few dates. Suddenly I'm very much back in black. My parents are also going to assume my car loan (and give me a truck for my car) since Eric totalled my mom's car and it's a situation that helps everyone. Good times are here again and will last through early October pending no catastrophic changes.
