So I guess I'm not as over SPN as I thought, as I just stayed up nearly three hours past the time I was starting to fall asleep going through Supernatural Meta 101 with some folks who binge watched it not too long ago. I still have opinions on these characters that will not let me rest when someone says that they felt like Dean was the one who was holding Sam back from having a normal life, and how Sam was the only one who could have a normal life, and then I was like No! Let me tell you about Sam's trouble making close connections with people outside family and being kind of standoffish, Dean's habit of making friends everywhere, Dean's four years of a normal childhood, Sam never having that. Also the topic of Dean's supposed dumb bro routine but lots of geeky literary references and GED, the way that season 7 Sam's storyline was less "finally getting out" and makes much more sense as "Sam has a mental breakdown and just wanders off aimlessly".
