Makes me smile...
just talked to my friend's mom for the first time in forever. My friend died a few weeks after we graduated high school.
Bragdonmom: Hey... How are you!... Where are you???

Bragdonmom: That is awesome... are you just visting there???? I'm ok....
MimiSxy: ah, no actually. i live here. moved out here after i finished my internship in florida last april. got a job with a children's theatre company here stage managing their first national tour.
MimiSxy: aw, just ok?
Bragdonmom: Wow... that is absolutely wonderful... You have made me smile... perfect... I am sure that you are loving it!!!!
MimiSxy: yay! glad to make you smile :-) it's amazing. it's SO much work 'cuz it's just myself and two actors on the road, but it's been really rewarding
Bragdonmom: You are nourishing a love of theater in a new generation!... We NEED that BIG time right now!
MimiSxy: exactly! i think that's why i've decided i really want to continue to work, if not with this specific company, than other children's theatre companies.
MimiSxy: this company is so cool. they've been around for 30 years doing "in house" shows in rented spaces and then also doing shows that they tour around the state of srizona and take into school cafeterias and gyms, etc
MimiSxy: taking theatre to kids who've probably never seen it, and that was expanded on in this national tour too. we did some big cities but we also did a lot of small towns who never would have had the opportunity to bring theatre to their kids
Bragdonmom: Well.. congrats and thank you... I have always felt that the world will be better served and educated through the arts, because that reaches past the brain and into the soul... So KEEP UP THE SOUL FOOD!
