This is something I wanted to write to finish off the series of ficlets: In the Company of Wolves, Small Crimes and Touching the Void

Summary: Dracual watches Anna's mind and rages. Continuation on Small Crimes, and happens before Touching the Void Warning! references to Dracula/Gabriel

despite having seen the movie, I've never dipped into the fic, and don't particularly feel the urge to. Only checked this out because I was curious about your writing style.

And lo it was good.

Especially liked this: It used to be a smile reserved only for him, only for Vlad, in the forest when the blood of the game was fresh and still warm between their fingers. and this He knows it like reading a description from an old book, spoiled by the smell of dust and crinkly paper under his fingers. Those were the two bits that hit me where it counts, powerful and vivid and as close to sensory experience as writing can get. Good job.

I do try to get the sensory experience through, and the whole point of it was to be a bit dream-like.

okay, this is like the coolest idea, gabriel channelled trough anna's memories, and anna's full womb as the final thrill! i like the indirect way you talk about vlad's desire, and the similar, animal natures of all three. and yes, the blood! on pale skin! a familiar touch :) this has got to be one of my all-time favourite fics. (and i'm not kidding) so balanced! so dark! so alive!

Oh thank you luv! I was exceedingly drunk when I wrote that so I guess it works then. I do my best work when inebriated ( maybe I should worry O_o)the darkness really is accidental. I don't really mean to write these things, they just come out! Really! :)

I love your quoting, even though it makes me feels quilty on the things that I am not reading. But just you wait till I get this dissertation underway, and then I'll be cometing with you about the quoting XP
