Indulgence

Sunday; a day of relaxing with no work. Okay, that's a lie, I worked all morning on the reports I didn't get done yesterday and then ran some errands. I thought about skipping the errands, but all I had in my kitchen was that science project wanna-be in the fridge and some left over pasta salad that was turning a nice green. That all got thrown in the monthly cleaning of the kitchen and re-filled it with ediable food.

Now I'm sitting here watching something else I bought this afternoon. It's been awhile since I've bought a DVD with the work schedule we've been keeping. But it was sitting there on the shelf at Target and I couldn't resist. Gilligan's Island is now out on DVD; at least the first season is. *grins* It's the perfect way to unwind after a long day.

I'm hoping that this week won't be overly stressful. Things have been somewhat quiet around the White House lately and it never fails that something big happens. It'll be pieceful and almost like a normal job where the hours are from 7 in the morning until 8 at night and then something big will happen and we'll be back to staying until 11 or 12. *sighs*

Saturday is valentine's day. A holiday which I've never been overly found of. Even when I was younger it was never a happy holiday in my house. And once I was out of the house and attending college, the holiday didn't get much better. It's probably the idea that the holiday is based around people having someone else to spend it with; and I've got no one. My plans for next Saturday are thrilling; work until the afternoon and then run my errands, do some shopping before coming back to my apartment to watch movies that'll make me cry while I'm eating Cookie Dough Ice Cream. At least it's only one day a year.
