Oooh! I like the way you combined the lovely fluffiness of sitting in the sun with Faramir (love that quote, BTW) with a teensy glimpse of an AU that didn't happen--thank goodness! And so we can take the shudderiness of it along with Frodo, knowing he's still safe with Faramir in the sun.
