Hobbit Recs!
Okay, here follows some The Hobbit recs. These will be predominantly Bilbo/Thorin, as that's what I've mostly been reading! Some are WIPs. That shall be indicated. I'm deliciously happy, as some of these fics really remind me of the old school Frodo/Aragorn fics that came out in 2002 or so, only there are SO many more of Bilbo/Thorin because it's one of the "it" pairings! Hurray! If S. is even possibly reading this (she's on vacation now), I bet she's not at all surprised at my pairing of choice...:D
Also, I'm not going to give out ratings or warnings. That's up to the reader to look at warnings, etc. if you click on any link. People at Archive are pretty good about that stuff in general.
Okay, in no particular order...
A Hobbit's Business by millionthline (Bilbo/Thorin). There does seem to be a theme in Hobbit fanon of formal courtship and cultural misunderstandings. I lap that stuff up like a dragon with a fiery tongue. :) This is a WIP.
Warmth by Semnai (Bilbo/Thorin). Very cuddly and fluffy! Makes me grin all over.
A Most Unsuitable Match by ekaterinabeisel (Bilbo/Thorin). hehe. A bit of hurt comfort, a bit of overly concerned Thorin...some sexytimes at the end...you know the drill. :)
Courting Mr. Baggins by Lothlorien (Bilbo/Thorin). Fluffy and courtship themed.
They're Calling Me Home by joidianne4eva. (Bilbo/Thorin) This is a WIP, the alpha-omega one that I was telling moit about. It's a rather new and odd genre for me so I'm not sure if it's really yet to my taste, but thought I'd put it out there for those interested in the genre! :)
Blended in Measure by littleblackdog. (Bilbo/Thorin) It's a work in progress, but I am really enjoying the voice in these stories.
Of Dwarves Courting Hobbits by GallentGeekery (Bilbo/Thorin) - This was fluffy and funny, again with the courting theme.
Of Mead, Rights, and Sleep by GallentGeekery (Bilbo/Thorin) - Possessive!Thorin and more cuddling.
Brave or Fool by theskyeskye (Bilbo/Thorin) - WIP, angsty hurt/comfort.
Chance Consequences by archia. (Bilbo/Thorin) This is a very interesting AU in which dwarves settle in near the Shire and Bilbo is the mayor and must go deal with Thorin. Hits many of my kinks and nothing beyond UST has even happened.
Oh, there are more, but I am tired of making a list tonight! Here are some to start with! ;) I will seriously try to hunt up some gen fics for my gen-only readers, but I did not see many as of the last time I looked!
