In response to moit's Froday Flash challenge using the words pumpkin, spider web, spooky, ghost, bloody, I bring you a Too Long to Wait drabble:



"Calm down, son," Aragorn said. "It is but a tiny spider web!"

Ellohir flailed his arms, hopping about in a panic.

"Ellohir!" Frodo grabbed Ellohir by the upper arm. "Stop. It is the tiniest of webs. You're a big five-year-old boy who will be King of Gondor one day. You cannot fear a spider the size of a pea. Come now, the pumpkin is waiting to be carved. Let us make something spooky out of it!"

"Can we carve a ghost?" Ellohir asked, his flailing forgotten. "A bloody one?"

Frodo smiled. "Certainly! Let's go get a sharp butcher knife!"
