Life
So things changed rapidly career-wise Monday. That was the day I was supposed to start working at Pyramid Studios and teach art to adults with disabilities. I called in Sunday and told them I wanted to start Tuesday instead, there was a sudden job opening for an art teacher at Apalachee Elementary School here in Tallahassee and my interview was Monday at 10am.
I brought my dry erase board and some posterboards because I was going to do an entire lesson in front of them. When I got to this interview I noticed there were a lot of older experienced art teachers there. They told us before I went in that we would know tomorrow. I went in, did my thing...
The principal called me two hours after my interview to tell me the job was mine. I freaked out like I won the lottery. I had to call Pyramid Studios and let them down.
Ever since Monday I've been doing insane shit. I drove down to Miami Tuesday. I tried to get Maryanne back and failed. Drove back up Wednesday. Left friends very confused. Thursday I spent $45 on three paint brushes. I also took Jena and Ashley K from Pastel to a fancy restaurant.
Pastel has started recording. Hopefully we'll be done with all eleven songs in the next two weeks. My current recording equipment is the bomb. We'll probably be lame assholes after that and get a myspace.
I start work Monday. The kids come up a week later. My mom's coming up Tuesday. I'm giving her my newer car and taking her older car. She's also bringing up all my art books (How to draw Spider-Man, Drawing Comics the Marvel Way, etc.). I'm going to have a little book center with couches in my classroom.
Life is so unbelievable right now.
