Don't Dial Me Up

Sep 14, 2007 23:43

I know it's only been like almost 2 days, but it feels like forever since I updated my lj, since I didn't make any posts last night, lol. The unfortunate reason for this was that for some reason my DSL connection wasn't working and I had to resort to using dial-up, which was torture. Honestly before DSL, I don't know how I managed to put up with that crap for years. It felt so painstaking reverting back to it last night, that I was so frustated, that I didn't even bother doing much online. Anyway, I'm happy to report that my DSL is back on, thank goodness, which is a relief. I was getting worried when I tried logging on this morning, and it still wasn't working. But it's fine now.

Anyway, yesterday, I went to class, which was kind of weird going back to, since we had so many days off during the past couple of weeks, and I had skipped it on Tuesday, but class turned out to be pretty fun, surprisingly. I was joking around, and making most of the usual boringness that class is most of the time. On and yesterday, I wore my "Don't Do Sadness" t-shirt for the first time! So I was pretty much walking happily sporting my love for SA most of the day. Before class, I had to go to Arima to pay a bill for my uncle, and I decided to go pay my aunt a visit at Jadoo's as well, which was nice because I got to see some of the old gang that I use to work with. I saw Mark's back working there. I always got the feeling that that guy didn't like me for some reason. But whatever. It was cool seeing everyone. And spending time chatting with my aunt. I could tell that she appreciated my visit. So after Arima, I was off to class, then after class, I went to the mall yet again, this time to just grab some dinner. I bought my usual Subway sub, a caramal latte that was HEAVEN, and also a mushroom pie(which I had tried for the first time and loved the previous day) at Creme Brulee to go. Then when I came home, Varma came over yet again to waste more of my time. But you know, I've been bitching about him all week, but tonight I was over at his place for a change, since he invited me for dinner, and he had me laughing my ass off with jokes about our various colorful neighbors. Honestly, sometimes that boy can seriously get on your nerves, but other times he's just what the doctor ordered when you're in a foul mood.

Oh and also today, I got a facebook friend request from an old high school classmate, Nicole. And at first I didn't remember her, even though we were in the same classes for 3 years, but there were two Nicoles in my classes, so I got her confused with the other Nicole. But anyway, of all the people to friend me, I would never imagine it would be her. Sure we hung out a few times, but we weren't really bffs or anything, and sometimes she could seem a bit intimidating, so I was a bit scared of her as well, lol. But I was still happy to reconnect with her today. Turns out she's a mother of an almost 2 year old daughter, and she still keeps in touch with some of our ex-classmates. We wall-to-walled messaged each other back and forth, and she kept trying to pry and find out if I had a girlfriend, but I got the feeling that she was doing that, just so she could find out if I was gay or not, like she and everyone else use to speculate about back in our school days. Guess some things don't change. Ha! Anyway, I didn't admit to anything. I was very vague with my answers. I mean, if she wanted to find out, why not come straight out and ask me, instead of beating around the bush? And if she ever does, I will let her know, that yes I am, but until she does, I'm not giving into her games. That would just be so high school! HA!
