Oh, I know! You really should see Legally Blonde, it is SUCH a fantastic show! And you're in luck because although a couple of the supporting cast members are leaving by the end of the summer, most of the original cast should be there until at least the spring since it just opened like 2 months ago, and I can't see Laura Bell Bundy going anywhere for a good long while, especially after the Tony nomination. And of course you MUST see Wicked! I don't even know where to begin, but that show is special to me in a way that nothing else is. I've seen it three times and I'm seeing the tour in the fall. And ever since the Tonys I want to see A Chorus Line too! I think that would be great. And oh gosh, there are so many other great shows I could recommend and tons more I want to see...and yes, they are making a musical of The Little Mermaid! It opens in November, I want to see what when it comes out too!
I have sat in the mezz before actually. I saw Chicago (my first Broadway show, way back in 2002!) and RENT (2006) from the mezzanine in cheap seats as part of school trips, and I loved both shows. And I mean, for RENT we were literally in the nosebleed section, lol, but the seats were on such a slant that I still had a wonderfully clear view, and the theater was a pretty small one, so I did not mind the seats at all! I've basically sat everywhere. I've also been in the way back of the orchestra section before, also with school trips, and I've yet to have a bad experience. Most theaters are designed so that there really isn't a bad seat, and the shows are so amazing that you will enjoy them no matter what. Now, of course having awesome seats is ALWAYS nice, I sat in the front row for Beauty and the Beast, the second for Eden Espinosa's last show in Wicked, and within the first 10 rows for Legally Blonde, The Lion King, and another show of Wicked, lol, and it's great, but don't ever let not being able to get the best seats discourage you from seeing a show, because you will still have a great experience! And yes, I have heard that for A Chorus Line you don't want to be too close because it's more of a "big picture" type show.

Awww...thanks for taking the time to enlighten me some more about Broadway and the best seats of the house!:) Yes, I definitely have to check out these shows. And I had heard how awesome Wicked is! I actually saw the novel that the musical was based on on sale at Virgin the other day, and I was tempted to buy it. The Little Mermaid should be interesting also. I was such a huuuge fan of that movie when I was a kid. It was the first Disney video I owned. And I practically knew all the songs by heart. Legally Blonde seems like a fun show. That "Oh My God" song has been stuck in my head since seeing Laura Bell and the cast perform that number on The View last month.

Ahhhh! Now I can't wait to come back to the city! So sad my trip is ending so soon, blah:(.
