Sing Me A Song

Apr 04, 2007 11:40

I'm feeling, fat, sleepy, annoyed and bored all at the same time. Partly due to my laptop issues, partly due to the internet is so damn slow at the moment, partly being I'm trying to avoid the Sherrie-Ann and the Singhs, and another part being just life stuff in general.

But anyway, some brief thoughts rolling around in my aggravating mind at the moment....

..Last night I spent over an hour talking with Lisa on the phone about nothing in particular. It made me remember the good old days when we use to talk to each other religiously. I almost didn't pick up the phone though, for fear that it was Sherrie-Ann. And I really didn't feel like talking to her at all last night. When you spend an entire day with someone, you definitely need a couple days apart. Haha.

..So bummed that Shandi and Brian got voted off Dancing With The Stars last night. I could care less about Shandi, but Brian's pretty hot. I could have done with seeing him last a couple more weeks.

..Contemplating what to do today. Don't feel like doing much. There's a few errands that I should take care of today, but just don't feel up to it. So maybe I should just stay home and read. But that in itself seems kinda depressing to me at the moment. I don't know, I'm in just a plain old foul mood. Need some Stephen Clay Experience to cheer me up. But continuing those music downloads on this particular slow online day would just take too much time and too damn long right now I'm afraid.

But speaking of music, hearing that Buffy score on The Tudors promo the other night, kinda got me nostalgic for some Buffy music, so I dusted off my Radio Sunnydale soundtrack,(the international version with the more songs, I have both the US and international CDs though!) and took a listen to some of the songs on the album. And I'm so glad I did. I had forgotten what a great soundtrack that was. And what really cool songs were on it. It definitely brought back some good memories. Some highlights are "Bohemian Like You" by The Dandy Warhols, "Ballad for Dead Friends" by Dashboard Prophets, "Pavlov's Bell" by Aimee Mann, "Sink or Float" by Aberdeen, "Black Cat Bone" by Laika, "I Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Melanie Doane and "That Kind of Love" by Alison Kraus, and of course The Final Fight and Buffy themes. Killer CD! With so much more songs than the stateside release, which only had 12 compared to the international version's 21! So this one was a definite must have for any Buffster fan, although being the completist that I am, I collected both versions!;).

Okay, it's amazing, at the start of this post I was feeling all crappy, now that I've gone through a list of Buffy songs, I'm feeling a tad bit better. Huh. Strange how just writing about cool stuff like Buffy and music can cheer me up a little, lol.
