Quality Shopping Time
Today was "shopping for clothes with mom" day. We spent what seemed like an eternity at Macy's looking for a suit to buy for me to go to Dinesh's wedding later this month. We saw the perfect shirt, but unfortunately didn't get the right size, so we headed to Banana Republic. Didn't get the perfect outfit there either, but I did end up getting some really neat long-sleeved t-shirts and a pretty neat black sweater that I had to come back to get since I left the store regretting that I didn't buy it. So I dragged back mom later on to buy it with me. So anyway, after the first trip to Banana Republic, we went over to Men's Warehouse across the street at the bottom of the Empire State Building where I finally got the right shirt, the right pants(although the length has to be taken in a bit, so we have to collect it on Thursday, after the tailor fixes it), and the perfect sports jacket to go along with it. It's funny, mom was the one that suggested the outfit, all because I was watching All My Children last weekend on SoapNet, and she saw Josh wearing a similar outfit, and she thought the look would look perfect on me. So thanks Josh! LOL! After Men's Warehouse, we still had more shopping to do, so we went over to the GAP, where I got some jeans, some t-shirts, a pair of pajamas, some sweaters and some socks. Then it was back to Banana Republic to get that sweater again, before going to 2 different Foot Lockers to buy a pair of sneakers, but unfortunately I didn't see any that appealed to me. So we stopped in Duane Reade to get some chocolate, (since I woke up this afternoon with a craving for chocolate,lol) before coming home. And won't you know it, when I came home, I had a craving for Starbucks, so I came back out to get myself a caramel macchiato and a steamer for mom. Then when I came back home we watched a comedy special on Showtime featuring Monique(of The Parkers) doing her stand up routine in a women's prison! It was hilarious! And that was my Saturday in a mouthful, or is it fingerful since I just typed all that in one paragraph?;)
Anyway, I'm down to my last week of vacation, and I'm feeling kinda sad that time's flying so fast, and I'll be going back home before I know it to my same old stressful and boring life, with my same old problems, my same old annoying relatives and neighbors, a best friend I didn't ask for and still don't want and a dusty and dreary house that gets me depressed all the time. Yeah, home sweet home. Can't wait. Blah.
