Best Movie To Kick Off The New Year With!...Heck, Best Movie of the Entire Year Period!
Posted this at my MySpace blog also. It's my thoughts on Pan's Labyrinth, which I just saw tonight and thoroughly enjoyed:
Just got back from seeing Pan's Labyrinth not too long ago, and boy was I blown away by it! Hands down it's the best film I've seen at the movies in a long time! Now I can see why it was nominated for so many prestigous awards(such as the upcoming Golden Globes for Best Foreign Language Film!) and won so many already. If you're a fan of not just horror, but just good old fashion film making and storytelling, then you have to see this movie! It will amaze and affect you, much like the eerie, hauntingly beautiful score heard throughout the flick. It may be a dark fairy tale, but it's one that'll stay with you. Awesome, awesome film....I can't say enough about it. Thank goodness it'll be getting a nationwide release soon! A film of this calibur deserves to be seen more than the bunch of new drivel the studios seem to churn out each week. Definitely a must see film for any mature movie fan. Make no mistake though, this particular fairy tale-type drama is not for the kiddies. But a heartfelt mature story that adults will enjoy immensely.
