I love poop!
Clinical is SOOOOO much fun. (yes, I just called going into the hospital fun - who knew!)
Today my patient was this cute little old women who had DVT so she couldn't move her legs that well. I had to give her a partial bath for that reason. While I was giving her a partial bath, she was telling me that she hasn't had a bowel movement since monday. In my head I was thinking..."great, give me the patient where I have to talk about poop." Once she said that comment, I had to ask her a bunch of pooping questions. I told my assigned nurse and I had to give her a freakin laxative. As soon as she had it, the shit literally hit the fan. Poop was flying out of her right and left. And I, Katie Christman, HAD TO CLEAN UP ALL THE POOOOP. I've never seen so much shit in my entire life. Not only did I have to do that but i had to whip her ass after she did it everytime. It's an experience I do NOT want to have again. no thanks. After she was done with the pooping, I had to put lotion all over her body. She was soooooo dry. Dryier then your mom's ass. At the end of my shift, she gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek.
Anyway, I thought I would share my poopingness.
