Because I feel like it and it follows pretty naturally from the Lady essay for me.

It's weird how this seems ten times less complicated for Tim than it is for Buffy.

Because, uhm, Dick Grayson is probably the Robin that would disapprove most of the killing, and Tim canonly seems pretty much okay with the killing people thing if it's justifiable-only-happened-once-couldn't-be-prevented etc. He did come down hard on Buffy with the Faith thing mostly because she's involved with Kon and Bart and he was feeling protective and also still relatively new to camp also kind of his responsibility to make sure he knows what was going on etc stuff. He knows the Bat-policy about it and believes in it strongly but he's capable of overlooking it on occasion. Besides, punishing yourself is pointless.

Anyway, he hasn't forgotten she's killed someone but it doesn't look like it'll happen again so he's okay with not letting it affect his view of her too much. He's pretty much accepted that she has a good chance of becoming a fixture in his life and he likes her so that's cool. Except where he fails at interactions.

I don't know if it's just cause I know, but he feels like she's not comfortable with him and he tends to tread lightly around her in reaction (and just naturally) and when they do talk he does try a little to make chatting and stuff to suppliment the business but apparently he doesn't feel like that's working.

So I guess that lead's to the attempts to use touch as communication. In camp she gets the most pre-meditated-there-is-meaning-to-this touching. It's really weird. He'll actually stop that now since he did notice she thinks he's crazy when he does it. And yeah, that kinda clued him in to Buffy's general nice with him being potentially a front. Anyway, maybe they'll one day talk about it. Or maybe they won't and continue to think the other person doesn't like them... Yah.

And stuff. Also wow, really long and fun to read.

Please talk about this stuff while I'm languishing in the internet-less wilds of Venice? D: I've got to have something to look forward to through the long hard weeks of gruelling sight-seeing.

Buffy just doesn't see Robin touch other people, and the only way she's manged to explain it to herself is that he's doing it because it works for Kon. And she normally doesn't object, but Buffy just doesn't like people touching her when she's angry. It makes her bristly.

And really wow we just need, like. I don't know. Truth serum. Or to be locked in a room together for extended periods of time. It might work with Robin. Well, better than it would with Lady, definitely, but that's not saying much.

Yeah, cause he kind of pretty much doesn't, usually, unless there aren't people around. Possibly I should note somewhere that Tim genuinely cares about Buffy's well being and kind of worries for her cause Kon can be inappropriately dumb sometimes. But yeah still won't do it again cause he knows uncomfortable contact is the worst.

Locked room, huh.

And I should note that the only time Buffy's ever had to seriously question her perception of Tim's opinion of her was when he congratulated her about the engagement. She still has no idea what to make of that.

Or, um. Ahaha. It might be fun if they both got, like, subtitles. That floated around and said what they actually meant when they talked. But only with each other cuz otherwise that could get out of hand.

Maybe cause he was actually smiling that time.

Tim's subtitles would be five times longer than whatever he says.

And cuz Buffy wasn't emo at the time. Usually she thinks he does it to comfort her and she goes "...that's not your job wtf."

Buffy would be like "no shit wait wait I didn't finish the last one you're not allowed to dot again yet."

...with Lady it would be a cage match.

Everyone always thinks that but really Buffy tries to avoid actually fighting with Lady because it might get to the picking sides and Buffy thinks she'd win the fight but lose the superheroes. Well, except Kon.

It made sense at the time. Also Buffy doesn't actually want to beat up Lady.

I'm sure it did. And that would make Buffy a better person than Rikuou- he used to want to beat up Cal a lot =_=;

She usually wants to beat things up to resolve things--she thinks beating up on Lady would make everything worse, and most of the time Lady on her own doesn't do things that make Buffy want to be violent--Lady with the YJ is what does that. And then she goes and beats up gorillas til she feels better.

Oh. Well. solving things.

Yeah that would be why Riku never did. Only he beat up poor defenseless beds, not gorillas.
