Considering they have underground rivers on Voga, I'm starting to wonder if this was filmed in an actual cave and not in a studio.

It was, it's a popular tourist location (sadly, not so much for its Doctor Who link), and it was also used in an episode of Blake's 7 (and, I think, in an episode of an old Robin Hood TV series where Robin meets Herne the Hunter for reasons to do with the seventies).

HANG ON A MINUTE THAT WAS NASA ROCKET LAUNCH FOOTAGE DON'T EVEN TRY TO PRETEND IT ISN'T

See also the Thal's giant missile in Genesis. It's possible the Silence have been trying to get their hands on a space suit for a long time now.

Yeah, I watched the special features and found out about the alleged "witch's curse" that plagued the crew in that cave for a few hours.

It's been almost a year since I've seen Genesis, so I'll just have to take your word for it. But that doesn't surprise me.

"I might just play this scene as a level in a video game. Wheeeeeeee!"

Adorkable.

And as far as I'm concerened, they WERE Pete's World Cybusmen. They looked like them and sounded like them, and they were way too easy to destroy.

As for Cybermen surviving when not expected to, that's what they do. Like the Daleks do, like the Master does, etc etc etc.

The thing that everyone kept pointing out was that the Cybermen in A Good Man Goes to War didn't have the Cybus logo on their chestplates. I took a close look during the episode and that does indeed appear to be the case (they never stated it out loud, but the Cybermen in Classic Who kept upgrading and changing design without any onscreen explanation so I'm pretty firmly convinced they're Mondas Cybermen.)

I know they were "supposed" to be "real" Cybermen. But the only change was removing the Cybus logo. In every other way, they were still the lame imitation. It's kind of like.....putting the Celery on Six's coat and calling him Five. You know what I mean? -Arcalian
