General News
The LARP I talked about last week ended Thursday afternoon and was, aside from an unforeseen long period of waiting the night before, a great success. And I got paid for it. It was glorious. Thanks to everyone who sent good vibes!
School is back in session, and Lady Luck decided to be nice to me and let me nab that one final spot in Playwriting, one of the courses that I'd fought tooth and nail to get into last year. So guess what I'll be doing tomorrow at 2? :D
I brought Short Trips: Dalek Empire and Timewyrm: Genesys with me, although whether or not I'll actually get to them is debatable. However, this semester doesn't look like it'll have NEARLY as much reading as last semester (in which I was taking THREE reading/writing-heavy classes out of my four), as only two of my classes have lists of required reading, one of which only consists of about 2-3 books (the rest is writing). Also,
finishing my mom's book takes priority over starting Who-stuff. Sometime this week, Dave (my friend who got me into Doctor Who around this time last year) plan to nip down to the used bookstore in Downtown Wooster where I intend to actually buy some of those delicious New Adventures novels they had in abundance last year.
I'll try to make it back to 30 Days of Who soon, I've been really busy and I'm still figuring out what to write for Favorite Actor (and who's my Favorite Actress).
Audio Dramas
Still working my way through Zagreus. I'm impressed with how they took the super-campy vampire race from State of Decay and actually made them not only Serious Business but also sympathetic creatures. Right now, Charlie is a giant mouse and Ace is a duck. And Benny is a gazelle.
Upcoming Commentaries
Like I said last week, I'm filling up the season 18-19-20 gaps next: Meglos, Four to Doomsday, Kinda, and Snakedance. Schedule-wise, Monday and Wednesday evenings are looking pretty ripe for Who-viewing as my first classes on Tuesday and Thursday aren't until noon and 2 PM, respectively. However, since this IS my first week back, I'm probably going to give myself a few days to get settled back in. Especially since, for the first time, my class schedule is going to be different nearly every day. In the meantime, I plan to do a bit of commentary-less New Who watching, since I STILL haven't seen Waters of Mars or End of Time, but now have them within reach (Waters of Mars is finally available Instant on Netflix and End of Time is literally sitting right behind my computer).
