Stardust
In an effort to encourage some better treatment from Beth, some of the girls at Jack's decided to invite her to a movie. The chosen movie was Stardust. I actually didn't think I'd be able to go since I had to work the gift shop at (I thought) 3. One of the girls said I should call in and skip so I could go to the movie. I refused to do that since I'd like to keep my reputation of only calling off when I'm actually sick. Turned out I didn't have to work til 4 and with a 1:30 movie I was able to go afterall.
I didn't expect much. I figured it'd be a cute little kids movie. I'm not saying I didn't want to see it but was planning on waiting til it came out on DVD. I was really surprised though. It's a lot better than I expected. I don't know that I would take a kid much under 10 to see it but most pre-teens would enjoy it. It's got a fairytale quality to it. One of the highlights is Dustin Hoffman as an effeminate pirate :)
So go see it. Though I would recommend seeing a matinee showing, don't pay the jacked up evening prices.
