Yay! A Robie lj update!
Hey! I'm not gonna dump it all into one entry, because three months and a slew of newness would be too daunting to EVER update!
First, a confession: I think that I just got sucked into one of those pop culture moments... OMG! I cannot believe how much I hate American Idol as a narcissistic slopfest, but I just watched "So You Think You Can Dance", and I am hooked!
Hey, did anyone notice that I used the British version of comma rules by putting the comma outside of the quotations because it does not appear in the title? Oh, the humanity!
So this has been like the best couple of weeks in a ling time. Yes, there were migraines and weird sleep patterns and all that, but the people, the people! I am loving my new classes. Kimi and Ryan are great! I'm loving that they work and that they have fun, too. The fourth years are working their "pugoi" off (classical Greek word to protect the eyes of the innocent!). The third years rock, the second years are translating like no other group, and the first years, well, they are already picking on me and vice versa, so they're in.
Movie night - Beasley's, 7:30pm, Friday, Star Wars IV
Make sure you sign up in my room, or you are a looooooooozer!
Looking forward is my way, but I couldn't help but enjoy looking backward recently.

Got an e-mail about a possible visit by Dogariu.
Beckie Mangino and TJ Gordon stopped by yesterday. I taught them in 1999. They broke me in as a teacher.
Much of what I am belongs to these. And much of what I am to become belongs to you current guys.
Seems strange. I always thought that teachers helped students develop into what they could become. Who knew it went the other way.
All for now. Go back to studying for: tomorrow's vocab quiz (Latin I); Friday's translation check (Latin II); next Tuesday's Aeneid I.1-92 test (Vergil); NOTHING!...but not for long! (Lit); everything Iliad (Wesley! who is in a class by himself!); being my personal classroom slaves (Kimi and Ryan :-P ).
