Gonna crash soon!

Christmas comes very early in this household... We don't really celebrate the holiday like we used to when I was a child. It's mostly because my parents saw it as a holiday for my brother and I. Now that we're older and Mark's not even living here anymore, gifts are kind of given out all willy nilly. After being relegated to sit in the car while my parents gloried in Black Friday shopping, my dad threw my Christmas gift at me. Now, I was expecting a digital camera since he turned down my three other gift requests (a puppy, laptop and HD flat screen). When he handed me the box and a large camera case I was confused because I didn't look at the box and just thought the case was way too big. Turns out it wasn't a digital camera, but a camcorder! He had bought me a sweet little Sony Handycam since he remembered that I've always wanted one. Then, today he came home with an iWake clock radio and chucked that at me. So, yay! I'm set for the holiday!

Fall quarter is winding down... And that means it's final project time. For my one film class, instead of doing the assigned paper, I teamed up with five other people to shoot a short film. I ended up being the writer which was fantastic because I've gotten praise from my group for my awesome dialogue. It's always a great feeling to find that you don't suck like you think you do when you write. We've had three days of shooting for this film and I am absolutely exhausted. I admit that I only acted in it for the first day of shooting, but just being on set is draining because it's such a tedious process. Though, I totally love my director, Vivian. I've had classes with her in the past and she's awesome. I can't wait to see the final product after all of the shots are finalized and our editor gets it finished. Props to Nikki for being an extra for us and having to sit in the blazing sun while we shot poolside.

I seriously can't get enough of the holidays... Once I watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Santa rings in the Christmas season, it's all I can do not to squee all the time. Sometimes I feel lonely since I'm single, but it's quickly overrun by my utter love for decorations and music. I love that it's at work, in my neighborhood and generally everywhere I go. I have my radio permanently tuned to KOST which is the official holiday station here. I can't wait for the private Disneyland Holiday Party with all my other CMs and Heather as my guest. Then there's the possible trip to Seattle to see my brother and Portland to see my cousin. Not to mention all the holiday movies! It's like happy overload!

I got my very first set of extensions... I bought the hair and Magda sewed them in. They came out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. Even my mom likes them which is truly a sign of goodness.
