today is world aids day. it's a day close to my heart. my uncle died of aids 13 years ago, which didn't allow me much time with him. im glad brother vincent was able to recognize it in prayer today, im no holy roller but i asked him to mention it, hopefully some people reflected on it. after school i came home and helped my dad out with christmas lights then went to the train station. i got to penn at around five then walked up and down 34th street wondering where the 6 train was for about 45 minutes. i went to a burrito place and they gave me a free burrito and drink. it was so delicious. i wanna go there everyday. i asked the guys in the burrito place how to get to the 6 train and i finally found my way. i got off at an early stop and had to wait for another train though, it was all good, my timing was key. i got to the asia society at around 6:30 and looked at the exhibit. the pictures were amazing for lack of better words. the photographer spoke about his experiences and such. i had no idea how bad the aids/hiv epidemic had gotten in asia. most people have no idea either b/c the percentages are low, but the population in asia is so high that in actuality there are many many people infected. it's really sad. afterwards i stopped at a coffee shop and got some sweets then headed home. today was a really good day. it kinda sucked i had to do it all alone but what else is new right?
