OOC Post -- Info on a 'Verse that's already been on-going.
In between Infinity (8_dressing) and Six Words (sixwordstories), it figures that this guy has been a very, VERY active Chinese Electric Batman!!
I think altogether, this could be another another verse. Infinity and Beyond
For Hei and the cast mates from different time lines in between seasons one and two for Darker Than BLACK, living out their lives for the sake of surviving the Syndicate--an international powerful government aiming to wipe out all Contractors from their world--is a constant struggle. Contractors in particular are these evolved, rational beings with many bizarre and incredible powers. A number of them are used as weapons throughout the worlds, as to the spirit mediums, Dolls, being used as spying tools. There are also the rarer kinds, the Regressors (former Contractors) and Motoriams (people with powers who don't have Contracts or belong to certain governments).
In the beginning, the existence of Contractors on their world were kept under wraps. And then a certain chain of events led to Mao, Yin, and Hei turning rogue, fleeing from the Syndicate.
They, along with many others from their own worlds, have been drawn to these two different nexuses. Humans, Contractors, and other sentient creatures come together, each to their own goals.
Hei's goals in mind are to protect what he has left for family; Yin, Mao, and now Amber (a Contractor who can move through time on their Earth). Hei has been reaching for a life of peace and normalcy, to hide out at Infinity from the Syndicate with his friends, making new friends and enemies along the way...but at least not as terrible and powerful and extending as the Syndicate.
Yet, Amber spoke to him of a different goal in mind, including him as the Savior to all Contractors. An unwanted destiny, with a sad future for him attached.
It may be some time until Hei and his friends from their Earth onward do find peace, coexisting with one another without starting war and endless bloodshed...
