Holidays Go Bye Bye
Well, I went back to work yesterday. The new school looks like it's going to be all right. I teach my first class tomorrow, so I just set up my brand spanking new printer so that I can get everything ready. I'm not yet set up on the network at the school, but they say that they will tomorrow. We'll see what the day brings.
Anyway, I never did say what my holidays were like. They were actually pretty good. I went home to Ballarat for a month while I was house hunting, and while there I had Christmas and my birthday. I'm 23 now, as it is.
One of the highlights of the holidays was my baby sister. As most of you know, I've been into slash for roughyl 10 years now (scary), and my younger sister Stalker of Shadows has been into slash for around 5-6, give or take. Our baby sister, though, we kept out of the dark to avoid her running to Mum to 'dob on us' as we seriously would get into trouble.
Anyway, during the first week of the break I had to stay in my sisters room while my former bedroom aired out. Due to some minor flood damage, the place stank to high hell. Stalker of Shadows was back home as well, during the Uni break. I was sitting on the bed/cot/uncomfortable thing showing Stalker of Shadows a Nick/Grissom vid I made way back in around August last year for her when baby sister says "you're making them look gay" to which Stalker of Shadows says "finally! She gets it!"
After this I showed my Doctor/Jamie vid that had both my sisters in stitches, claiming they wanted to watch the episoces. Problem was said episodes were a 3 hour drive away, and I didn't pick them up until the day of the move. I'll just have to show them to them some other time. In the mean time, baby sister has been watching Australian Rules Football trying to work out which players are gay and who is sleeping with who. No, Stalker of Shadows didn't tell her to do that. She started that all on her own.
I guess its in the genes...
