What a Weekend...
Went home for the weekend. I tell you, I am never allowing myself to be distracted again. Two hours from Nhill and one from Ballarat I stopped for some food and became distracted by a couple of fellow teachers. Time passes, I'm standing almost at the front of the queue... and suddenly I realise I don't have my keys. I'd locked the bloody things in the car. Brilliant. I called RACV and it took them 10 minutes to come, and 2 to open the car door. Never, ever, being distracted again.
At home was okay. Little sister had a lot of swim meets so didn't see much of her unfortunately. Stalker of Shadows as home too. She'd just finished her first week of University in Bendigo and had a lot of stories to tell. We both had shopping lists so off we went to buy things for our places - my flat and her room in residence. I am now the proud owner of a plug in food steamer and electric frypan. Not sure if I mentioned it, but last weekend Chris and I cooked pancakes and we ended up burning a hole in the middle of the frypan - the pancakes were still raw. Only the pan cooked. Now I have no need to use that stupid stove again. :)
This week the year 11/12 Lit class have their first Outcome to complete, and I'm rather nervous about it. Mainly because whatever the mark I give the year 12s goes toward their final score that will get them into University. I am very paranoid about it all.
Oh yeah, update on the internet at the flat. I'm planning on hooking up the phone sometime over the next two weeks, and I should get the computer within the next month or so... at least, that's what I hope. I may not get one at all. I am really, really starting to get withdrawal from lack of MSN Messenger and smut. Let's just say I'm twitchy.
Well, back to work I go. I'll post my thoughts of the CSI episode in a little while. But for now, lunch!
