I Hate Centrelink
Some of you may or may not know that I'm on Centrelink Sickness Benefits for my Post Traumatic Stress because my job lied their way out of having to pay me Work Cover/Stress Leave. And any Australian who's ever had to deal with Centrelink will tell you that it's not fun.
I got a letter on Monday from Centrelink saying they need a new medical report. Went to the doctor on Tuesday, but he needs a copy of the old report as, in the past, he's had patients lose their benefits simply because he called something by a different name. So today I spent over an hour on hold to Centrelink, only to be told to go to their branch. Took me an hour to get there because of bad traffic, only to be told to come back Friday morning since tomorrow (Thursday) is the Australia Day holiday. The new medical report has to be mailed to them by the 29th, ie. Sunday., a day of which there is no post!
