Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid.

So one of my coworkers went to this inter-agency meeting today. Something about budgeting and grants administration and lowering the cost of overhead. Lots of folks from across the gov't were there. So one of Bush's advisors, some dude who was his roomie at Yale, old friend, etc. (I'll have to ask her what his name was) gets up and makes this speech. In this speech he goes on and on about how they're going to build this big telescope and he's all excited because this big fancy telescope would, "...allow us to see the beginning of the universe and prove the existance of God."

You heard it here first, folks. There is a God, and he's in outer space.

This according to the Bush Administration.

There were apparently a lot of dropped jaws in the room.
