It's been about one month since Doc began working for LuthorCorp, about one month since Clark began his slow dismantling of the puzzle that is Adrian Cohen. (Or so she calls herself.) It's far, far longer than most of his so-called relationships, since he usually never even bothers to get to know the women he sleeps with and never sees them again, and it's beginning to draw attention from his family.
Which is one of many, many reasons why he directs his limo driver to take him to her apartment tonight, to take her on his arm to a charity event in downtown Metropolis. A good public reputation waits for no billionaire, and he's getting into his full-on "good rich guy" persona. Well, as much as he ever does. He has a reputation for hedonism that can't be shaken, but at least at large gatherings like this he makes an effort to appear cultured.
What a shock it will be, then, for his chosen companion of the night to come in with him instead of the expected bottle-blond shallow supermodel.
